Mirza will be playing with Vandeweghe in Aegon Classic
Shvedova is nursing injury
Its a random team as Both are Forehand Players
But Grass could be deadly with coco serves and Mirza Returns
Last year they also played this event, ended up playing on Hard Courts
Sania is really having a terrible year :(

Re: Mirza/Vendeweghe : New Team for Wimbledon

Mirza/Shvedova were listed in the original list but withdrew as a team this week (surely due to Shvedova injury). This looks like a last minute team.

Mirza/Shvedova still listed in Eastbourne & Wimbledon. Vandeweghe will partner Jankovic in Wimbledon.

Coco and JJ? I might have to take my sketchbook along to that one

I noticed Mirza's ex-partner Bara Strycova is partnering with Lucie Safarova in Birmingham. I wonder why Hingis/Chan decided to play Mallorca (which is only an International level event) instead of Birmingham (which is a Premier level event). Obviously there's more money and points at stake in Birmingham compared to Mallorca.

it will not be a good choice .. Mirza needs some one who can finish off points at net. Rosolska could be a good partner for Mirza. Garcia was better hitter with less unforced errors than Coco and a Adv court player. So if Mirza can convince Garica to play wimbledon then it would be much better to play than with any one else. I can see limited number of players are dedicated towards doubles, so obviously Mirza has less number of choices left.

So who ended up playing on the Ad court? They both have very good backhands, though Sania has a bigger delta on her FH to BH differential than Coco.
How serious is Yara's injury? She's nowhere to be seen.

Coco Vendeweghe played on ad court, She played amazing there , got 4 winners on the return from ad side
Sania/Coco were having lots of fun on the court
So many unreturnable serves by both coco and sania, They were good on volleys as well
They are a fun team and can be very dangerous on this surface
Regarding slava's injury, It can be serious as she retired from her mixed doubles match as well withdrawn from Ricoh Open and this tournament

Wasn't Slava injured and that is the reason for Sania teaming up with Coco only for this week or something?
Then why are people here acting and exaggerating like Sania has dumped Slava and is so DESPERATE?What is she supposed to do not play events until her injured partner is ready to comeback?
And Sania/Slava had really bad results on clay and unless they had an extraordinary run on grass, were going to split anyway.
And in the middle of the season, with very few options available, what is wrong in trying new partnerships, when something clearly is not working,to find what actually works for you?

Martina found Chan at the right time and has been successful, else she might have changed quite a few after her split with Coco.
But people here will be okay with Martina doing it,only when Sania tries to find her right partner, they find her to be Desperate, arrogant, with too much attitude etc.And the important part is,its not like Sania initiated the Santina split and neither has she dumped Slava now,who withdrew because of her injury.

Sania won Cincinnati ,New Haven,Tokyo and Brisbane and also reached the finals in Wuhan,Sydney and Miami. And wasn't IW,the first tournament Hingis won after the split?People acting like Hingis won 3 straight slams after the split. So its not like Sania is the loser from the Santina split.
Sania just has had a terrible clay court season and clay was never her surface anyway, and with a new partner and fitness issues, she has struggled a bit.
Hingis was fortunate to find a great partner.Sania just needs to find a decent doubles partner too.She should play with Garcia or the other Chan sister or someone who has a decent doubles ranking, who can actually complement her game.

At the moment if you see in Chan Hingis partnership it's Chan who is carrying the team.. Hingis is barely able to to play from baseline...Hingis is frustrated with herself so much that in each match she has to throw racket in anger.I hope she gets her form back which she had 2 years back ..But clearly it's Chan who Is playing better than Hingis in the team. Better serves..better groundies and matching Hingis on volleys as well..

Okay so should we tweet Sania to be less arrogant and learn from Hingis? What makes people feel Hingis has been very respectful towards her partners and fellow players? Is it her egoistic arrogant disrespectful comments about most of her rivals and fellow players right from the beginning of her career?
Sania has been much more friendlier and is close friends with so many girls on tour including her former partners Vesnina and Mattek-sands.She had a long and successful partnership and great relationship with Cara Black.
Niculescu, who won with Sania in New Haven last year had so many good things to say about her.
Slava GOT injured,ELSE Sania was supposed to play with her.So naturally she needs a new partner now.
So who has she been arrogant towards and what makes people assume that?

Unwarranted and irrelevant. Hingis' fans on this forum have the reputation of dissing all other players, but there is no need to stoop to their level.

When the argument is so obvious, does it need to be stated? Just ignore the haters...

So who has she been arrogant towards - what makes people assume that?
Nothing whatsoever. Sania has not once said anything against any other player that is disrespectful / would show her as arrogant. (The only example some people cite is the Paes fiasco - and anyone even remotely knowledgeable of Indian tennis knows who is at fault in that).
As I said, haters just make things up to feel justified - ignore them. :p
