Still no thread for her guys, come on :spit:

Cindy is a 20 y.o. from Volendam and has been playing tennis since the age of 5. After the summer of 2012, Cindy slowly improved. She reached 2 future finals in the fall of 2012, but lost them all. She ended the year with a ranking of 678. This year, she started off slowly, but reached another 3 future finals in San Severo, Amstelveen and Horb. Also she made a surprise quarterfinal showing at 25k Maribor from qualifying, beating Domachowska and Irigoyen before losing in 3 sets to tennis prodigy Ana Konjuh. After a 2nd round in Middelburg, she reached her best result so far, a SF at a 25k, in Koksijde. She qualified and beat some good players like Elise Mertens and Cristina Dinu. She lost in 3 sets to Pavlovic. Last week she finally claimed her 1st 10k title, slaying the field and not dropping a set at 10k Bucharest. This week she is playing at 25k Mamaia and she won her 1st round against Ysaline Bonaventure 76(2) 62 and also an hour ago she made it into another 25k QF, defeating Laura-Ioana Andrei 63 64. She is ranked 368 at her career high and I'm hoping she can be big. :cheer:

Good luck Cindy! :cheer:

Thanks for opening this thread Mark :yeah: Cindy has been doing well, so she definitely deserves one :)

Her face kind of reminds me of Dokic in that 2nd and 3rd pick of the OP, or is that just me

After her final at 25k Mamaia, Cindy hasn't been able to win consecutive matches. In Sant Cugat she made a 1st round exit to Grymalska in a 3rd set tiebreak.

Now after 3 weeks of rest, Cindy is back on court and playing some indoor events in Europe.

Schedule based on EL's:
28.10.13 25k Istanbul-Ted, Turkey
04.11.13 25k Equerdreville, France
11.11.13 25k Zawada, Poland

She is the 1st seed in Q for 25k Istanbul-Ted and won her 1st round in the Q 76(6) 60 against home player Ipek Soylu. Cindy struggled early on, she went down 2-5 and was down 1-3 in the tiebreak too. After she had stolen the set, she ran away with the match. FQR vs. Zaja/Pirazhenka.

Cindy lost in the quarterfinals in Santiago 0 and 1 to Eikeri, tough loss

This week she is playing on hardcourt in Bertioga, near Sao Paulo. She beat Emily da Silva Chang 61 62, Sofia Blanco 63 63 and Catalina Pella 76(1) 63.

So some easy points for Cindy and playing the SF of a 25k against Veronica Cepede Royg from Paraguay. This will be a test for Cindy as Cepede Royg is ranked around 225.

Didn't expect Cindy to win with this scoreline :)
Cepede Royg had won 13 matches in a row, winning two 25k titles.
Final against Eikeri will be tough, but hopefully she can make it more competitive this time. Last match before she gets a well deserved break. Good luck in the final :cheer:

Cindy lost the final 4-6 6-2 4-6
Much better scoreline than last week week with the bagel and breadstick.
But a nice end to a good year for her. TBE has her at WTA-268 for next week, a new career high.
Curious to see what she can do in 2014 :cheer:

Cindy made a great start the new season in Andrezieux-Boutheon, beating wildcard Carla Touly 64 62 and top seed Maryna Zanevska (WTA: 118) 64 64! Fantastic start to the season by beating her highest ranked opponent so far :yeah: Playing against Ysaline Bonaventure in the quarterfinals who she beat in straight sets in Mamaia last year. She also lost to Bonaventure at 10k Amstelveen though.

Nice start of the season for her :)

GL in the QF :cheer:
Not a whole lot of points to defend until June.
Would be great if she could make RG Q.
