Eva Wacanno is a 22 y.o who has been playing for some years now. Last year at the Indoor Masters she pushed Rus to 3 sets and is returning this week from a shoulder injury which has kept her away from the courts for 6 months(!). She played her last future tournament in Serbia in mid-August were she made the 2nd round. Because of the Injury she has dropped from 550 to 880 in the rankings, and she is playing in the MD of 10k Helsingborg this week and is excited to return to action :)

Good start of 2015 for Eva, she has reached the semi's of 10k Sharm-El-Sheikh today by beating 3rd seed Yuuki Tanaka (WTA: 403) 75 76(3) :yeah: She beat (Q)Denisenko and (WC)Kaufinger in the first 2 rounds in straight sets. Also she reached the doubles final with Pia Konig. She plays the singles semi's against her doubles partner Konig, which will be a tough match as Konig is the top seed and ranked #383. Good luck though :)

By the way, Eva is training at the Kim Clijsters Tennis Academy since October :)

Beat 2nd seed Konig 63 64! :hearts: was unsure how she would cope after last year, but a great start of the year reaching another 10k final :) let's hope she can win another title after 10k Macon last year :) Playing the final against Katharina Lehnert from the Philippines.

EDIT: also won her 19th doubles title, with Konig she won the final 46 76 10-5. :D

Lost to Lehnert 57 63 46 (bloody Germans)

Moved to Aktobe this week (Kazakhstan) and is in the final, against Polina Vinogradova. Dropped one set and got a retirement on the way, but pretty good :)

Eva is back onto the pro tour after 3 months of injury and she immediately reached the final at 10k Sharm-El-Sheikh with wins over Shaydullina, Hofer, Claffey (w.o.) and Peddi Reddy. In the final she plays Aussie junior Sara Tomic. :)

Also in the doubles final with Rishika Sunkara. :)

After a 2nd round exit in Maaseik to Wagemaker, Eva is playing 10k Pärnu in Estonia and she reached the semi's beating Horackova, (wc)Burk and (7)Sizikova (whom she lost to in Sharm-El-Sheikh) in straight sets :yeah:

Really hope she can do well in the second half of the year since she started so well in 2015 when injury came about.

Eva into her 4th 10k final of the year, she beat India Maggen 76(2) 36 63! :yeah:

Strange match, Maggen lead 5-1 in the first and had a setpoint at 5-2, but went on to lose the set. In the second set Eva got ahead 3-0 but lost 6 games in a row to lose the set  in the third Eva went up 4-1 and finished it off on her own serve :cheer: final against (Q)Eidukonyte or Gulbe. Only downside to this success is that she'll probably have to withdraw from 25k Bad Saulgau Q.

Also playing the doubles final with Emma Flood.
