I think she really deserves a thread as promising star.
She's only 14 years old, and this week she made her debut at the Dutch Masters defeating Angelique van der Meet (#391). At the ITF Junior ranking she is ranked #56. Very impressive for a 14 year old.
(4)Julia Cohen (USA) v Teodora Mircic (SRB)
Sofiya Kovalets (UKR) v (Q)Raluca Elena Platon (ROU) Indy de Vroome (NED) v (wc)Borislava Botusharova (BUL)
(6)Jasmina Tinjic (BIH) v Xenia Knoll (SUI)
Did not expect such an easy win against Wienerova. Just a couple of years ago she was top 150. Not sure what happened to her, maybe injuries or something but sad to see her ranking going down like that.
But after her double bagel Indy needed 3 sets to beat her 2nd round opponent, Anette Munozova, who qualified for the MD and is ranked 1.088 6-2 4-6 6-2
Julia Cohen retired so no QF against the top seed, but against another qualifier Denise Muresan, WTA-807
OMG she is in a 25K Final basically only beating players outside the Top 600 :haha:
I think she is good enough to beat Eric but she hasn't really faced adversity except against Munozova  Please win Take advantage of this points-whoring expedition
Indy won her 1st 25k She defeated (4) Doroteja Eric (SRB) 6-4 6-3 :yeah:
Strange tournament
double bagel against Wienerova
top seed retired in her 2nd round match so Indy played against a Q ranked 807 in the QF
SF opponent having to retire after just 3 games.
But she finishes it off with a good win in the final aganst the nr 250
EDIT: btw good week for the Dutchies with Indy, Aran, Misa, Jainy
