Wimbledon 2007

Last year Misa lost against Stosur in the first round. Sadly, but at least she can only do better this year.
There's a good chance that she will be seeded, as she will be #33 after Roland Garros and she's also playing Birmingham where she can only gain extra points.

Great news! Looking forward to the grass season.

Re: Wimbledon 2007

Yep, it's great that she'll play Birmingham as she should be seeded there, and can hopefully get some more points and be seeded at Wimby. She may well be anyway but still - nice to make sure of it.

Latest news is that Misa will be seeded as #31 because Zvonareva and Na Li withdrew.

Re: Wimbledon 2007

oh cool... well Misa got Obziler in the first round, and then possibly Kloesel in the 2nd, and probably Chaky in the 3rd. Not a terrible draw I guess.

Re: Wimbledon 2007

What a great draw for Misa! She really needs to take advantage of this amazing draw. She really can upset Chakvetadze I think, but she has to do it first. This can become her real breakthrough tournament! I really hope so!

Re: Wimbledon 2007

I think it's a good oportunity for Misa. I don't wanna say she should make x round (did that in Birmingham *cough* and look what happened). But she should be able to pick up some points here.

Re: Wimbledon 2007

Yes indeed. She really has to make advantage of this draw and minimal reach the third round. She has opportunities to go even further. But the problem with Misa is that you never know. It seems that always when she has good opportunities to go far in a tournament, she loses a stupid match against a much lower-ranked opponent. So I hope this time she will really take advantage of it! Good luck Misa!

Re: Wimbledon 2007

6-2 6-7 6-1

Apart from the second set, when she forgot to put pressure on Obziler, a good win.
Next is Katie O'Brien. No question Misa should win that.
