Misa has a ranking! :D

I suppose (or I hope) some people will care. Misa now has a ranking. OK, so it's only 1025 with 3 points, but hey, it's her first ranking on the WTA Tour isn't it?

I'm sure it will...hopefully by the end of the year she will have moved up at least a couple of hundred spots. (or maybe that's being too hopeful, but she can still play 2 more challengers I think with her JE).

ehh? She only just turned 15 and has only played 3 tourneys...I wish she;d play a couple of $10k's just to get a bit better ranking. I mean it's hard for her to win some rounds in $75k's when she hasn't the experience there yet!

Misa's had a good return from the injury that kept her Out Of Oz, winning a G2 her first event back (in GER) and making the SF in a G1 (in CRO). Is Petr "behaving himself" BTW?

Thank everyone (including the keeper of Misa's flame here, Linda) for being as xenophobic as my compatriots lately. And she, along with the rest of you, have posted quite avidly in the Dutch language threads in this "compact forum" so This Thread didn't just get lost either.

I've cheered for Misa, tried to focus attention (including that of the ITF) on "monitoring" re. the Petr Problem, and my posts now get fucking ignored? Sarah, I guess you were right to "go all out" and learn their language, or They Treat you as being as welcome here as the late Pym Fortune regarded physical immigrants!

Geez Jolly, get a life...don't feel left out for no reason. Ive posted messages here that didn't get a reply and I am sure so has everyone else now and then. If you think people "neglect" you cause you're from elsewhere then I guess that says more about you than about them.

In theory, your post sounds correct. Except: in the case of players not (yet) megastars, a "national forum" should feel somewhat flattered by ppl with no ethnic connection (or Sarah-type "ethnic affinity") bothering to visit, caring about the player (inc. as @ least a "sort of" abused child) etc.

I don't crash that Dutch thread in non-tennis where you talk about whatever is of "local interest". Maybe its that unlike typical cheering posts that don't really say much, I've probed into whether the abuse of Misa is strictly verbal; and how bad. Re. which you folks (like the other "nationalists" on this board) would rather play "see no evil".

Jolly, I just didn't reply to your post because I don't know anything about Petr's behaviour right now. I suppose that means good news because if I would have misbehaved I might have heard it.
The reason we post in Dutch is because there's hardly anyone who doesn't speak our language in here - you pop in sometimes, so does Aaron but it's not much. I guess it's natural to talk our own language then.
