A heartbreaking loss but you'd never know it judging by Silvia's post match comments. Macmillan, I hope you don't mind but I thought it was appropriate to post in our Silvia thread so I stole this from General Messages.
"It's always tough playing Silvia because she doesn't give you any rhythm," said Clijsters. "Her slice shots force you to bend down all the time. I think it was a great match.
"I never thought I was out of it, even at 5-2 in the second set. If you think that way you should just walk to the net and shake hands," Clijsters added.
Farina Elia was naturally disappointed by the loss, but buoyed by the outstanding play she produced throughout the match.
"I think in the first two sets, this was the best tennis I've played in my career," said Farina Elia. "Even though I lost today, I feel I was the winner because of the way I played. It gives me a lot of confidence.
"I've learned a lot from the other times I've played against (Kim), and I used them in the match today. I tried to be more aggressive, which is the way I have to play if I want to stay at the top of the game."
