Re: corinna dentoni

Nice week for Corinna She has improved a bit this year (QFR at AO and some other good results). Howewer, she will probably lose all these points because of Zlina's final points coming soon off (50 exactly; she gained 60 with this quali, so she will at last win just 10 points )

Re: corinna dentoni

Jean's report
Dentoni v. Bychkova
By far one of the most entertaining matches I’ve ever watched. I don’t know where to start, really…everything was there, in spite of the fact that the score is very harsh on Bychkova and does not reflect the intensity of the match.
Let’s start with the Dentoni show which was a non-stop element of the match. For those who know Corinna, she’s a beautiful tall tanned lady who can play extremely well. Her best assets is by far the fact that she is the most irregular and crazy girl out there. Some silly sequences of shots are her trademark: in one and only game, she can hit 5 tremendous winners coming from nowhere which are to be followed by 5 horrendous errors not even touching the limits of the court, she can jump, cry, sit on the court for no obvious reason, she can laugh, hit herself, destroy a racket here and there… The fact that she is imprevisible helps her in this way that she prevents her opponent from finding grip on the match and on the plot – if there’s one. In one of the first games of the match, Dentoni was not playing well yet – she was framing many shots, missing by far the lines, returning poorly – and all of a sudden, she decided to wake up and hit three AMAZING backhands down the line, exactly at the same spot, and what’s funny is that she looked as surprised as everyone else by what she was able to do. She was stunningly looking at her racket and at the mark on the clay at the other side of the net. The best moment of Corinna was when she lost a very long rally, decided to yell with a very very sharp voice, and throw her racket in the air: normal you’ll tell me, except that the racket landed outside the court, after the actual fences of the court. A poor old man handed the racket back to a ballboy: everyone laughed, including Corinna…but not Ekateryna as you may imagine. In that match, for once, it was all about the first girl able to go for a winner, and there were plenty of them. Bychkova’s performance as a whole was quite good regarding her recent results: her serve is definitely her best weapon, but as far as bitching is concerned, she was quite good too, complaining about linecalls in each and every game, forcing the poor young umpire to go and check marks at least 20 times today. Her mother played her usual part in the bitching, surprisingly taking pictures of Corinna and showing them to Ekaterina’s boyfriend/coach/I don’t know who. Laughing at the opponent is Ekaterina’s mother trademark. The handshake was cold as Hell as you may imagine, with Corinna then jumping and waving to the small crowd with Katya making a final of her famous death stares at the Italian. Corinna Dentoni, if she could focus on tennis for 5 minutes in a row, would be in the top 50 easily.

from FIT site

she says Medina a bit crazy like she's an angel
