I was pretty happy with venus' Schedule so far but now she decides to go to Malaysia on HC in the middle of the clay season...

I'm not sure it is totally confirmed. Although she did mention something in her Semi final interview after beating Wozniacki that she "might" be playing a tourney in the week of the Fed Cup. She could be referring to Kuala Lumpur tourney??

When does the entry list come out??

Fed Cup is the same week as Kuala Lumpur, so either she plans on skipping Fed Cup to play a MM in Asia during the clay season and making the 4 year FC commitment to play Rio a sticky situation or they might just be using her name for ticket sales and she'll withdraw.

Re: Venus' 2014 Calendar thread - Miami, Charleston

I think she's trying to make sure she has a seed by the time the French rolls around and certainly by Wimbledon. I think that's why she's padding with Kuala Lumpur. It is odd to go back to HC during the clay season but if she can get her seeding up why not. I mean she could still get a rough draw in Miami and she has SF points to defend in Charleston.

Well word is that Mary joe has got Sloane and Madison. Still working on Venus and Serena. I think her chances increased with the whole plane thing.

I think Venus has learnt that she needs to get her ranking up and in doing so, she needs to play more.

Last year, despite the back injury, her draws weren't ideal. As is the norm, Venus needs to play herself into form for the majors.

Venus isn't playing Fed Cup and there was an article on the WTA site that says Venus will be speaking in Malaysia so it looks like she will be playing

So far I think only Wimbledon. If she's taken a WC into a grass warm up I think we'll hear about it this week. But I think it is unlikely that she will.
