Venus herself has said that she doesn't like to play at the evening so im sure that that kinda changes her mood a bit.

I think that it has been more noticeable in the last years

slice out wide in deuce court. Venus hits that serve many a times when she's on full tilt, along with body serves and all that good stuff.

I want Maria to go down so bad! I don't care if Vee wins ugly. A win is a win.

I hate to wish ill will on anyone, but I want Venus to win to cause a few of Pova fans to commit suicide :

"I love the game, I love the thrill, I love the "Go Venus`."
"It takes a lot of work to get to this level, so while I can play I'm going to play."

I have noticed that Venus ends matches with an unreturnable first serve/ace very often these days

Re: Venus Whips Out the Water Color and Blue Hair To Claim Daphne

Glad Venus got through it and in straight sets. That's always welcome! Now she just has to bring it against Maria! Of course cutting out the excessive errors/doubles will help (esp. our hearts) BUT I think that she said it best in terms of finding a way to win even when not playing her best.

Did anyone else notice Patrick in the players box?

I have a feeling Venus will beat Maria. Venus' mentality is in a better place this year, I think she find a way to win.

Yeah Patrick was in her box. I really don't care for Patrick he's getting too much credit for Serena's recent success. The real reason why Serena is on top is because she has rededicated herself to tennis. I'm going to assume her near death experience made her realize how precious her legacy is so she got fit, trained hard and started winning.

Totally agree. The media has been looking for a different face to be the mastermind behind Venus and Serena's success. I'm honestly sick of looking at him. They never showed Sasha as much as this guy. I will be checking to see if Mama O sits next to him any time soon because that's usually a sign of approval. She never sat next to Hank (hell no one in the family would sit next to Hank, only David would ), but I remember her sitting next to Davide, Jackie, Sasha and David.

damn, I wanted a day match.
And yes, i agree that Patrick is getting way too much attention and credit for Serena's success.. like Serena wasn't winning slams before she met him.

Slammer, you mentioned Davide, Jackie, Sasha and David. Who's David?

As for the match, I'm nervous, stomach is already tight lol. Ahh these days Venus is even more unpredictable, I just want her to find a way to fight hard. All the best V!
