OMG!!

I never thought she would come back to play Hopman after she withdrew in 2006! Can't wait to go and see her play there!

Will be the first year in the new arena as well

She can still play a warm-up ? I remember Serena playing Hopman cup then a warm up

Don't think she'll play a warm up and Serena has never done that. She either plays Hopman cup or a warm up but not both.

Serena hasn't ever played more than 1 warmup except for when she was 17 and did the Hong Kong/Sydney double in 1999.

Sydney 1998/1999/2001/2002/2009/2010. Hong Kong 1999/2006. Hopman Cup 2003/2008. Hobart 2007. Brisbane 2012/2013.

Venus shouldn't play 2 either.

How good a pairing are Isner/Venus, I remember they lost to was it Monfils/Azarenka at an exhibition last year? I know Venus was still off the tour at that point and was just diagnosed with Sjogrens.

That idiotic poster pissed me off saying Venus' comeback has been unsuccessful.

Exhibition being the main word there. Do you really think John brought out his big serve? Or nearly tried as hard as he would in Perth. Or even Venus. It could have been RegularSeasonWTTnus out there for all we know.

All I hope is that Venus tells Isner, don't go easy on the woman. She should not even be putting the return back over for Venus to finish off. I like the potential of this team, I hope they live up to it.

Who? Where? I think it has been great. Her losses have been to Radwanska on two of the slowest courts on tour (first being in her first event back and 2nd being in the Land of Clay Hell for Venus), Kerber (the new Jankovic for her), Stosur on clay, Sharapova, Na where Vee was injured and still took it to 3, and Vesnina. Vesnina is slightly bad since it was Wimbledon, but Vesnina is a good player despite what her results show, she likes to rise to the occasion against certain top players. Plus Venus sucked and Oracene admitted was feeling tired. I feel like she has had a successful year. Only icing on the cake missing for a successful comeback is getting that singles title monkey off her back.

Ugh. Whatever. She has won Fed Cup and WTT, so now she obviously needs to win the only team event she is missing: Hopman Cup.
I don't get whats wrong with her playing Hopman cup. Alot time people consider Hopman Cup a great warmup for Australia its defintely more competitive than Hong Kong and its not in the freezing cold. She gets singles matches against players like Ivanovic maybe kvitova, and doubles matches for her net game.

Stupid ass poster. Some of Venus' losses have been disappointing and at times I wondered how much she actually cared (during the clay season) and she's gone back to blowing leads... but nevermind that

Venus is still one of the best fighters on the tour, she's had an amazing comeback so far.

Hopman Cup teams so far:
USA - Venus/Isner
Australia - TBA/Tomic
France - Johansson/Tsonga
Serbia - Ivanovic/Djokovic

4 more teams to be announced. One of which is an Asian team.
