I wonder what you all think of Kim's chances here I know you're all hardcore Kim fans..but what do you think?

I don't expect much from Kim in IW really, think she looks soo incredibly tired in Scottsdale. She already played 34 matches this year, and now she has to play a whole month with 2 tier I's in a row!!!

Do you think it was a bad decision to play scottsdale? Imo it was a very bad decision, since she has to play IW and Miami too.

Hadn't thought of it like that. Esp as she is going so deep into every tournament now in singles and doubles. Pre-Scottsdale I had high hopes but now I am going one match at a time and at no moment will I expect her to win.
Whether it was a bad decision or not, it's done now and can't be helped. Conditions at Scottsdale were not good in terms of planning rests and breaks. We can just hope that things improve. I saw matches of hers from Sydney, Antwerp and Scottsdale and she is nowhere near the standard of Sydney right now. It's there in flashes but I ma not optimistic for IW either.

On the other hand, she likes to play a lot of tennis. Look at her run at the end of the year. She might be tired, or she just didn't find her right tennis this week in Scottsdale. She won't have to play her first match until this weekend, I think, so she does have quite a few days off.

Good luck Kim.

I think the court in Scottsdale wasn't fast at all, do you agree? That wasn't an advantage for Kim.

Is it a faster court in IW?

Well, I don't really now!

Now, she has some days to rest as she had a first round bye in Indian Wells! BTW, the only 3 sets matches she had were Sydney (two 3-setter in doubles), Australian Open (one 3-setter against Serena) and Scottdale (one 3-setter against Ai)!

Her doubles matches were with loads of 6-0's and 6-1's lately!!

Between Indian Wells and Miami she'll get some free days too!!

After Miami, she won't play before Fed Cup, so she'll have a month to rest!

I'm honestly not sure what to expect at IW. Her level of play has clearly dropped off since the beginning of the season and IW has alot of top players that can do damage. I would be pleasently surprised if she wins..but i'm not expecting her too.
