Kim had another scan yesterday and it showed the same thing as the last one so the match against Jankovic didn't make anything worse and there's no reason why she can't pay at the same level today!
she also had a light practice session at 4pm, so good news I guess
nice win, Hlavackova served very well, but Kim was focused, 74% 1st serves, 18 winners vs 10 UE
she seemed very happy with this solid win!
In the post-match interview she said that she was very focused, at first she wanted to get to know her opponents game because they never played before and then immediately felt she was in this match, playing well.
it was hard because the Wozniacki match took so long, so she warmed up a couple of times
it's always nice to play on Center Court. It's such a special court, also because it is this court that made her come back to professional tennis
Nice win by Kim! Vera is up 3-0 in the third versus Soler-Espinosa so she will probably play Kim next. That will be tough (regardless of Zvonareva's recent form) given that Kim lost to her the last time they played here. I'm sure Kim will be especially focused and will be out for revenge. After the match Kim said she was very happy with how she played (better than in her first round) and that at one point she thought this could be her last match on Centre Court but she quickly brushed that thought aside. After all, it was this court that made her come back to begin with.
KIM CLIJSTERS 2005, 2009, 2010 US Open 2011 Australian Open Thank You, Kim
i thought kim moved better and hit the ball much better than in the jankovic match, which is a great sign. feel she went for the serve a little more today too.
i'm hoping vera is a bit of a mess, like she has been all year, and kim can get a nice easy straight sets win and have till monday off then. which would be great as it would give her 2 days more recovery time on her stomach.
