Re: Miami 2012

That is very sad... Nice/typical of Kim to show support.

From Kim's post-match interview today:
Q: Are you going to play Fed Cup in April?
Kim: No.
Q: May I ask you why?
Kim: Because I'm old.

Re: Miami 2012

So happy that she is back playing & to come out with a win
Tough opponent up next against Goerges, but a winnable one too.

Re: Miami 2012

Kim's through, 2 and 5.
Quite tight second set with lots of breaks but Kim managed to hold serve although facing breakpoints.
Looking forward to hearing what she has to say about her level out there today though.

Re: Miami 2012

Well a win is a win. Nice to be able to win these matches and give herself time to play her way into the tournament. The last time she was unseeded here she won it so... Looks like she will play Wickmayer next.

Re: Miami 2012

1st set stats look very clean, only 3 points lost on serve. 2nd set stats look horrible, though it would be asking a lot to think kim would play a clean match 2nd match after 2 months off against #17.

still a straight sets win and georges has been in decent form this year, so i'll take it.

A win is win and then, we cannot ask to Kim to be on top after only her second game in two months

Re: Miami 2012

Kim is down 0-4 to Yanina in the first set... Weird. What is going on Kim? She has won five points and Wickmayer has 16. Come on Kim, get it together!

Re: Miami 2012

Well it's 2-5. Kim at least is starting to win a couple points. She needs to shake this first set off quickly and start winning some points on Yanina's serve.

Re: Miami 2012

Kim fights off two set points. Wickmayer to serve for the first set again at 5-4. It seems Kim is starting to wake up.
