Because France is so strong? Dechy out, Loit out, Mauresmo and Cornet not in great shape, Parmentier well, let's say not at her top, .... theres only Virginie, Camille Pin, Mathilde Johanson, Severine Brémond, Stéphanie Foretz and Julie Coin (as Aravane and Marion have never been welcome in Fed Cup)... let's say with Oudin, Gullickson, Huber and Mattek, the USA have already a very good chance to win it.

But it's in a long time anyway.First things first: will the Williamses even play the finals in the middle of nowhere on the Italian outdoor clay?

Re: 2010 Fed Cup shedule

Bydgoszcz was chosen for Poland as after Fed Cup it will be a venue of Indoor Championships of Poland.

The surface is most probably Taraflex Tennis Turnoi laid on wood so it's the fastest surface possible.

No carpet

With carpet

Re: 2010 Fed Cup shedule

These Polish are crazy...

Clijsters + Wickmayer are not bad on claycourts but their games are just explosive on fast courts, definitely too much for the Radwanskas

Even if Kim doesn't play, Flipkens will love playing that ultrafast surface...why not chosing clay???

But I, being poor, have only my dreams

Radwanskas' don't like clay. Especially Urszula. However slower decotuf would be better solution than fast carpet... And no way Poland chooses clay for indoor purposes. It would be to expensive to put it into such buildings like this. Carpet is the cheapest surface because you must only put it on wood and you can play.

Agnieszka loves fast surfaces and she likes hardcourts = Agnieszka is a devil on carpet Ula's pretty much the same.

Re: 2010 Fed Cup shedule

Any details on Australia vs. Spain? As you can imagine I'm very interested lol

The belief that man is an irresolute creature pulled this way and that by two forces of equal strength, alternately winning and losing the battle for his soul; the conviction that human life is nothing more than an uncertain struggle between heaven and hell; the faith in two opposed entities, Satan and Christ - all this was bound to engender those internal discords in which the mind, excited by the incessant fighting, stimulated as it were by the constant promises and threats, ends up by giving in and prostitutes itself to whichever of the two combatants has been more obstinate in its pursuit. Life isn't black and white, it's gold.
