I know the ties will be in Estonia, I am assuming that it will be hardcourt as it was when Estonia hosted group 2 last year.

Re: Europe/Africa Zone 1 (2009)

Estonia, Austria, Poland and Belarus will have the strongest teams.

Daniilidou. Venus. Azarenka. Halep. Wickmayer.
Cornet. Ivanovic. Vesnina.. Vaidisova. Krajicek.
Paszek. Begu. Cirstea. Lisicki. Pavlyuchenkova.
Pironkova. Stephens. Tatishvili. McHale. Flipkens.
Grammatikopoulou ~ Papamichail ~ Sakkari
I'm obsessed with the Greek players. Deal with it.

Re: Europe/Africa Zone 1 (2009)

Poland will be chosen from 3rd basket (I don't if its called so in English), am I right? It's the result of having Serbia and Romania in previous Fed Cup

Me guessing we will have Austria, Belarus and Estonia in our group this time

Aga Radwanska & Ula Radwanska
Jelena Jankovic

D. Cibulkova/ S. Lisicki/ E. Dementieva/ M. Sharapova/ Y. Shvedova/ L. Safarova/ T. Pironkova/ A. Kerber
all Polish players

I think Sarah Borwell is more likely to be picked than Katie.

Come on, give her some time She's not ready for these kind of commitments just yet. I mean sure, it would give her tons of experience, but I guess it would be wiser for the GBR captain to choose other players, with more years on them.
