Serena Williams discusses lost and new partnership
Serena Williams from the United States of America suffered her first early lost since Miami this week in Strasbourg. That being said, the lost was far from shameful as Serena fought hard against her sister, Venus Williams, who's ranked number 2 in the world. In what might be the match of the tournament, Serena had loads of opportunities, but just couldn't convert. As Roland Garros approaches Serena said the lost was bittersweet, because she really wanted to win this week and keep her winning streak, yet she feels like this could take pressure off her shoulder heading into the second grand slam of the season.
Serena also discussed her new doubles partnership: "I would love to partner with Venus more often, but as it is we both have our partners and we're both doing great with them especially Vee. So yeah...I guess I'll wait for her to ask me." Serena is expected to play her doubles final later today, before heading off to Paris tonight.
