Palma Kiraly (HUN) d. Rushmi Chakravarthi (IND) 62 64

Well done, and in her first 25K!

Next is Hendler, though, but best of luck, Palma!!

Re: Palma Kiraly

Hendler will be very tough and her previous opponents have all been below the normal $25K level, but it is still very impressive that she has gotten to the SF of her first challenger. Hope it is a sign of good things to come. Good luck tomorrow!

Re: Palma Kiraly

SF
(7)Tamaryn Hendler (BEL) d. Palma Kiraly (HUN) 64 36 40 ret.

I actually assumed she was suffering from injury problems prior to this event but I do have to say I really hope she was just being a sore loser. I couldn't take having another fave with constant injury battles.

On a positive note, this was a great comeback tourney for Palma and taking a set of Hendler is impressive. Hopefully she can continue to improve (and stay healthy) and become a formidable force in the WTA.

strained in the 2nd set. she tried to play, but after 0-4 it was hopeless, so she ret.

Re: Palma Kiraly

Hope she doesn't have to pull out of next week's event. Still, one has to wonder what she could have done if she hadn't gotten injured seeing Hendler's opponent in the final.

17 Nov / 23 Nov 08 $25,000 PHOENIX Mauritius

It may work at $25,000 Phoenix as she third in quali now.
But on $25,000 Saint Denis entry list she is 29th alternate for quali only.

"Fine words." Tyrion was unimpressed. "Words are wind. Who is this bloody savior?"
"A dragon." The cheesemonger saw the look on his face at that, and laughed. "A dragon with three heads."
