Yes, this serve is a hindrance to her...and she had such a powerful serve before too.

Allez Marion at the AO! I hope she makes it to the 4R at least...

Re: Off Season + Australia - 2013

Today in l'équipe, a lot of answers to questions. In fact, she expected nothing from Shenzen as she was not ready for competing, too tired. She has worked a lot physically in Switzerland during 6 weeks and in Dubaď the last 2 weeks before Shenzen. She says that this preparation has been the most intensive she never has. Goals :
- More power in hitting
- More power in the legs
And a little change in serve motion with a more profiled feet positionning. Anyways, she knows that she needs to stay on base line in order to be more agressive.

She's now in Melbourne. So, wait and see now.

Crap, Medina proved she was in form in Perth. Marion owns her outside of clay tho.

Even on clay....remember Strasbourg 2011. If she defeats AMG, draw is open.

Re: Off Season + Australia - 2013

It all depends on Marion whether this is a good draw or not. I think all those players (baring Rogowska) have the ability to counter-punch Marion to death like people have in Melbourne before.

BARTOLI, Marion ♠ CORNET, Alizé ♣ MLADENOVIC, Kristina ♥ GARCIA, Caroline

It says a lot about the state of french womens tennis that I can only name 2 of those players...

Re: Off Season + Australia - 2013

Marion will open up against Medina Garrigues, which is a tricky start imo. The seed in her section is Ekaterina Makarova, who is a very dangerous player on a good day.

Re: Off Season + Australia - 2013

And for the ones still in doubt with long Marion's training, look at this schedule : http://www.australianopen.com/en_AU/.../practice.html

On court 17, Marion has started her training for half and hour, 2 hours lonely and the 3rd hour with Petra Kvitova.

Re: Off Season + Australia - 2013

And 4th hour with Gilles Simon : http://www.fft.fr/les-francais-lopen...e-sur-la-vague

Re: Off Season + Australia - 2013

Many french journalists in Melbourne = press conference

A lot of questions about Fed cup and tax issues (big big french current subject) : http://www.rtl.fr/actualites/sport/t...ent-7756815987

And video on Eurosport questions about preparation and especially about the serve : http://video.eurosport.fr/tennis/mar...13/video.shtml

She explains she modified ball toss, more in front of her. During training, she confirms that it's working.
