Marion and the Terracotta Army - Well Done RG SF!!! - Back to 9th rank.

Well the bright side is she isnt defending anything!

Only 240 point until Eastbourne!
A quarter at rome or madrid and she's already there.

Charleston: 1
Stuttgart: 1
Madrid: 80
Warsaw: 1
FO: 160

She shouldn't play Brussels and play Rome this year IMO, even skip Charleston or Stuttgart.
Hoping she can throw in a few quarters and gain a few extra hundred points here

2011 Point Breakdown:

Brisbane: 130
Hobart: 70
AO: 100

Dubai: 125
Doha: 200
Kuala Lumpur: 70

Indian Wells: 700
Miami: 140

Not counting Kuala Lumpur and Hobart, she has already amassed almost 1400 points, currently around half her total

Carol. Empress. Vika. P3tra. Garbine. Dasha. Casey. Marion.

Re: Clay...

She's on Charleston and Stuttgart entry list.

Her 16th result is yet 125 pts and 17th 120 pts.

She needs to reach semi in Charleston and in Stuttgart in order to improve her current total amount of points (miami included).

So next week : Charleston

Re: Clay...

The thread title is a bit minimalist,Paparazzi.....but that won't matter if Marion excels on court

Re: Clay...

Okay,I've pondered it a bit,and this truly is a boring-ass thread title,Paparazzi....Couldn't you show a smidge of creativity here??Maybe,'Marion is Agile on Argile'(French for 'clay',for those who don't know)...or 'Marion's Battle on the Battue'...or,if you wanna keep it simple, just 'The Battue Thread',in honor of Marion's French-ness...my last complaint on this topic,I promise

Imagination has nothing to do with it...if you use google dictionary online, that's EXACTLY what it reads...but maybe they have different words for the kind of clay used in pottery and the kind of clay that exists in soil.....Regardless,I hope Marion wins a lot during the season

EDIT:Just used a better dictionary, and it lists both 'argile' and 'glaise' as French words for 'clay'

Re: Marion and the Terracotta Army

My preferred schedule would be Charleston-Stuttgart-Rome-Madrid. Or whichever comes first, always get mixed up between the last 2. Charleston has winneable matches and even though Stuttgart has a strong field, its the best type of clay for her. 5 clay tournaments would be plenty for her, she better not play more.

Petrova v BYE
Gallovits Hall v Hampton
Lucic v Morita
Dushevina v King
Q v Riske
Lisicki v Voracova
Bartoli v BYE

One pair is missing in this section.

I only counted 7 Qualy spots in the rest of the draw,so it'll be Q vs. SOMEone,apparently...my big question is whether or not the final pairing will leave Big Bepa on Marion's half or Nadia's.My Scottish gf 'Super M' has told me that Nadia and Marion are good friends, btw

Re: Marion and the Terracotta Army

A BYE to R2 eh! Did she get that last year? Her section is very winneable given Petrova and Lisicki's lack of form. Howveer, this is Marion and clay though so you never know.
