Re: Eastbourne and Wimbledon

Im sure Marion wont make it that far but at least Radwanska is gone from the draw, just in case Marion decides she wants to go for the title this time!

Just to let you all know, even though you probably won't want to watch it , the AO QF highlights video against Vera is up on Youtube.

Zvonareva Kleybanova Mattek-Sands Strycova

Re: Eastbourne and Wimbledon

If I had to guess,I'd say that Szavay has SMOKED a bit of grass.....but that she won't beat Marion while playing tennis on it

When the Lizards play their Trump card, humanity suffers

Monica Puig, guapa campeona de tenistas latinas

WTA suffering from Dementieva withdrawal, a lack of true queens

Congrats on Number Three, Kim! We need more of you in this world

Good win for Marion against Szavay 3-6 6-4 6-4
What about a little QF against Aravane ?

Re: Eastbourne and Wimbledon

Thank god for that win. What a battle. But the win is what counts. I'd be optimistic about both opponents next, I think she could absorb Rezai's power, move her around and expose her poor footwork and make her commit errors. And Maria Jose wouldnt probably have the game to trouble Marion too much, dropshots side.

Let's just hope that,if she plays Rezai, her next match won't end like their previous encounter did.I'm a little concerned with the frequency at which injuries occur with Marion

Re: Eastbourne and Wimbledon

MJMS finding it pretty easy at the moment. I'd prefer Marion to play her to be honest. I wouldnt want to run the risk of French #2 beating French #1...

Re: Eastbourne and Wimbledon

I think Marion can beat either on grass but then Kim

Schnyder Jankovic Petrova Kvitova Schiavone

Zvonareva Kleybanova Mattek-Sands Strycova

Niculescu Lisicki Razzano Koukalova Errani Pironkova

Baltacha (RIP) Robson Watson Gent Konta and the rest of the Brits

Re: Eastbourne and Wimbledon

Yeah, little chance against Kim but as long as she defends her points I'd be happy enough. Not sure even if Kim wasnt there would she try to win it. We'll see what happens I suppose! Grass would probably be her best chance to beat her.

Re: Eastbourne and Wimbledon

Grass is definitely the best surface for Marion to get a Kim win, but I just can't see it happening if they do meet. Kim's just a really bad match-up for her.

But it would be a great shame if Marion doesn't win a grass tournament in her career.

Re: Eastbourne and Wimbledon

Aravane retired.
Should be a good match against Pepa since they have such different styles. Hope it's televised.

Re: Eastbourne and Wimbledon

Marion should try to dictate and not let MJMS play her game. Ill be happy with the victor but Marion should get her 4th straight semi here!
