It really does, doesn't it?
Even if she does win this match, she has no chance against a better player.

Im not looking forward to her having to play 3 in a row just to make the 1st round. Then she could get someone like Wozniacki or Cibulkova... It must be the mono, but i suppose we wont know because she barely lets on.

Re: Fun after disappointment in Ponte Vedra and in Charleston.

The problem is, she loves tennis too much.

She plays when, honestly, she shouldn't be. She was injured at the FO last year. She played hampered at the YEC 07, and we all know what happened there.

I admire Walter. He has done a lot for her, but he also messes her up too. He's always messing about with her serve (12 double faults in this match) or with her body shape, and it's not good for her. She never has that secure game.

I want the 07 Marion back. The one who could hit as little as 4 errors per set, the one who usually had such a high first serve percentage. Yes, she had some shock losses back then, but that year was still the most consistent she has ever been.

As long as she is winning....but whatever it is, sort it out! She had an encouraging start to the year, don't go down that road again

I agree with you, unfortunately she will never consider changing this part. I still have hope that she keeps this high standard record this season but these kinds of matches are not helping to stay positive. Marion will always have health issues and as you said, rather than taking a break, she keeps on playing. Imagine now that she has only reached QR2. Long way to go till the title

Get some rest & crush Pegula tomorrow. She shouldn't lose more than 3 games.

what a fat mess.

with Marion you never know if she could crush everyone else in the draw, or loose 6-2 6-4 in the next round, I guess that's what makes her exciting but heartbreaking to support.

BARTOLI, Marion ♠ CORNET, Alizé ♣ MLADENOVIC, Kristina ♥ GARCIA, Caroline

Fully agree. That's why she's so unique.

Re: Fun after disappointment in Ponte Vedra and in Charleston.

I'm worried about Sesil. She has been to a FO QF before, so obviously she can play on clay. And she beat a much more note-worthy opponent than Marion did, by a scoreline of 6-1 6-1

Marion.

Im scared about Sesil. Getting into the MD on a LL wont be the same as winning.
