I love this tournament already.
I actually see similar strengths and similar weaknesses with these two.
Both have a pretty fine serve, but unfortunately lack the defense capabilities to back up once plan A (dictating play) doesn't work. Mitu is having much more fire power while Cristina has more touch and better anticipation.
Barring that Kichenok was braindead out there, Cristina was playing pretty well, especially in comparison to the way she played the week(s) before. I still see massive flaws in her shot production, though. That grip of hers makes it impossible for her to flatten out her shots, so she needs to play with accuracy and length which she did today. Still, every big hitter with moderate rallying capabilities will be far too much for her at that point.
She can still become a solid ITF player, though. I don't know if it's enough for more, but she may surprise us.
