I do have a question. How many players of the 8 finalists are going to be selected for European Championship Under 16 ? Thanks.

Re: National Championships

Imo Bara, Gradinaru, Csoregi and Rosca should make it now.
Rosca is a surprise for me, but she's very convincing so far. Shocking loss for Cristina Ene in Qs.

Re: National Championships

Now it's clear to me that Ilka is not playing her best when Bara only lost one game against Gradinaru who defeated Ilka the round before in straight sets...

Common,... you know it's not working like that!

I wish I could watch the game tomorrow between Ilka and Irina

I know that those comparisons are not right, but I didn't see the match and Ilka should have won in straights against Andreea even if her form isn't close to the one she had in South America...

I saw Gradinaru last year and I think she shouldn't have troubled her...

Or does anyone disagree?

Bara in straights!

Me and my predictions!

I should stop jinxing!

Irina
Hopefully she won't miss the championships just because of a damn injury!

Ducu also had to withdraw! A round robin with 8 players is maybe too much for the girls...

Re: National Championships

What happened with all this string of withdrawals? A little bit anticlimactic don't you think?

Re: National Championships

^^ These girls played 6 matches in 3 days, this means 2 matches per day in the past 3 days, I guess it's a bit too much for some of them...

R7 (final round)
Irina Maria Bara vs. Ioana Ducu
Cristina Gabriela Adamescu vs. Jaqueline Adina Cristian
Ioana Loredana Rosca vs. Ilka Csoregi
Oana Georgeta Simion vs. Andreea Gradinaru
Yes, you are right, perhaps this is a bad competition format given their age and fitness.

Now I am wondering what's going to happen in the last round, I assume Ducu and Bara will abandon again if they are injured and not just tired. In this case I can see Rosca, Csoregi, Bara among the 4 selected. The 4th will probably be Adamescu since she breaks the tie over Gradinaru (in case both win), am I right?
