Re: Alexandra Cadantu

lol

It's not that she would have qualified. She is as useless on grass as Monica is on clay, maybe even more.

The only way she can make herself useful in Wimbledon would be drawing Shoulderina.

She can at least say that she lost to a junior AO champion.

Well, she had a big chance as Dolonc retired form the last round of qualies early in the match (3-3). Mestach qualified and I hope she gets Irina in the first round.

Re: Alexandra Cadantu

Begu - Cadantu would have been too epic for a MM, however, this match-up is a sealed deal for Wimbledon.

Re: Alexandra Cadantu

Only Romanian representative at Baku Slam this year. She may even be seeded.

Time for the Duchess to expand her reign.

Re: Alexandra Cadantu

Wimbledon:

(1)Serena Williams (USA) v. Mandy Minella (LUX)
(Q)Caroline Garcia (FRA) v. Jie Zheng (CHN)
Kimiko Date-Krumm (JAP) v. (Q)Carina Witthoeft (GER)
Alexandra Cadantu (ROU) v. (28)Tamira Paszek (AUT)

Another first round exit, despite how awful Paszek is lately.

Re: Alexandra Cadantu

Tamira is injured apparently. It would be hilarious if Duchess had her first slam win at Wimbledon

Re: Alexandra Cadantu

Well, if Tamira is injured and plays as bad as she did so far in 2013, then maybe, just maybe Alex has a chance there. But I wouldn't bet any money on it.

Re: Alexandra Cadantu

She is playing grass exhibition tournament in Liverpool.

Quote:
Meanwhile on the outside courts world number 85 Alexandra Cadantu from Romania beat local qualifier Natalie Wall 6-0 6-0. Natalie put up a fantastic fight and was unlucky not to get more from the match.
In lethal form obviously, handing out double bagels.

Even if Wall does not even have a juniors ranking.
