Re: Alexandra Cadantu

Alex beat Rogowska on clay once, in 2011, shouldn't be a problem to repeat the performance on hardcourt. Fingers crossed.

Re: Alexandra Cadantu

First Top 60 win for Rogowska since?

I really wonder what it is that makes so many Romanian girls slow starters into the tennis season. It has been like that since forever. Maybe it's just coincidence, but on the other hand it seems natural that Alexandra with her gamestyle needs much more matches under her belt than other players might do.

The chances of her to win a match in Australia seem 0 right now.

Re: Alexandra Cadantu

Oh well, it's not like this result is totally unexpected after last week's match / scoreline...

Re: Alexandra Cadantu

Yikes. And the scoreline suggests she kinda gave up in the 2nd. That doesn't seem like her.

Re: Alexandra Cadantu

Rogowska seems to be in fine form, though. She also gave Jovanovski a run for the money, at least in the first set.

Alexandra has meanwhile entered the new event in Rio. She is likely to be seeded #3 in the Main Draw.

How Alex does here depends solely on Flavia. Is Flavia carrying an injury into the match? If so, Alex should take her chances.

Re: Alexandra Cadantu

Damn this Pennetta ... I respect all the tennis players for their hard work on court and off court but if I`ll be a hater, Pennetta would be the first on my list ! Nevertheless, if Alexandra win`s this match, I`ll ask her in marriage

Re: Alexandra Cadantu

Are you asking me why I don`t like Flavia ? Well, first of all, it was that lucky rain break in USO that gave her the win against Simona, and second, she never lost against romanian girls since 2008 when she was def. by Sorana. So she gives me the chills when I see her name next to one of my favorites. Then again, I`ve said I don`t hate anyone, and that include Flavia

OK well, we are all here to support Alex, just this time I won't be fully behind her, though I hope she gives a nice show of herself

may your choices reflect your hopes not your fears.
