Andiyan, I really don't get what this competition is all about. I even asked Madalina Gojnea to explain, she hasn't said anything yet. Is this something that goes on throughout the year?
If yes, are these players part of the same team the whole year or they just associate during the tournament week?
What is the schedule?

You can find all info here: http://www.damen-tennisbundesliga.de/

It is basically an interclub competition where German tennisclubs pay professional tennisplayers to play for their team. The German Bundesliga (highest level of interclubs) has only 5 playing days (between May 13 and June 10) and then the first team of the competition is crowned the winner.
It's quite well paid, although every player obviously gets paid differently (according to current ranking and available funds of the team).
Every playing day, all the players all called in to come down and play (obviously only the best players that commit to come down will be playing a match). So one player on a squad might decide not to show up at all, whereas another plays all matches.

Mada's squad can be found here http://www.damen-tennisbundesliga.de...=98&Itemid=166

Thank you for taking the time to give me such an exhausting answer. That's all I needed to know and more.

French Open, Q-draw:

Kiki Bertens NED (1) v Annika Beck GER
Olga Savchuk UKR v Olga Puchkova RUS
Elitsa Kostova BUL v Madalina Gojnea ROU
Gail Brodsky USA v Jill Craybas USA (22)

Could have been much worse.

Re: Mădălina Gojnea is back!!

Didn't see that win coming at all to be honest.

Yeah, it will be very hard, but those 50 points are very important, 2nd slam quali tournament this year, 2nd FQR.

It's already great to see her winning two matches. Let's see what she can do know

Andrea Petkovic - Sara Errani - Jarka Gajdosova - Alizé Cornet
