Re: Irina-Camelia Begu Cheering Thread!

Azarenka simply in another league.

I loved how she wanted to see her coach in the 2nd set just to let her frustration out on him. I don't think he gave her any advice or something.

She needs to keep her calm, especially against a grinder like Azarenka. She couldn't today and went for too much on too many occasions.

However, great week and on to Luxembourg!

Yes great week for her from qualies to SF.
I hope she'll recover for Luxembourg.
She looked tired.

Re: Irina-Camelia Begu Cheering Thread!

Great week but watching her was so frustrating at times, she seemed to be playing at like 50% of her potential, missing routine shots for no reason, holding back some shots... Ugh !

I wanted the wrong Irina to win this one and she did. I'm a sinner.

Good she retired, losing to Khromacheva would have been really embarrassing

Yep, if she wants to climb up the rankings she'll need the stamina to play at least 2 good tournaments in a row for once.

I mean she didn't skip the Asian swing after winning Tashkent because of the fear to get a food poisoning.

Yeah, I agree, she definitely needs more stamina...and she also needs to improve her attitude on court. During her match with BMS, she was so down on herself after every mistake.

Definitely, nothing tops that match against Dellacqua in Dallas, though, where she was like

after she noticed her serve having an off-day, not that it made her changing anything in her gameplan or at least trying.

Re: Irina-Camelia Begu Cheering Thread!

So true, she just didn't care about how she could improve her game.

And I wish she didn't choke so much...I get so nervous whenever I follow her matches!

Re: Irina-Camelia Begu Cheering Thread!

And why does she choke so much? - Because she is easily irritated and too casual and lazy.

Against Wozzo on the big stage, she was clutch till the end, because she was able to focus fully on the match for once, against lower ranked players however, she tends to get impatient to a level that it's overcooking with her and her emotions and as a result of that, she won't find the court anytime soon afterwards.
