Re: S8 - 5: Bausch & Lomb Championships, Amelia Island (II)
But I'll take the wins as they come
This result ALMOST makes up for the shitshow that was Australia
Gajdosova stuns Kirilenko and Amelia Island
Jarmila Gajdosova stunned the ATC world today by defeating new world no.1 and Australian Open champ Maria Kirilenko. She defeated Kirilenko or known as MK 46 76(7) 62 saving multiple match points. The Aussie had crushed Wozniacki in round one and qualified by edging out Domachowska. Gajdosova's win stops Kirilenkos streak at 22 wins. Gajdosova said "I'm very happy, I am the next big thing on ATC and people should watch out. I've just proved that by defeating the world number 1 and showing my capabilities of not being a head case." Gajdosova plays Myskina next and if she defeats her, she hopes to play Hantuchova.
"It would be nice to play Hantuchova, she is Slovak and I know her pretty well because shes becoming my pigeon, would be nice to get another win against her and also Wozniacki who will become my pigeon soon."
2 wins over me and I'm your pigeon?
