Selections came out today!

http://www.itatennis.com/Events/ITAN...Selections.htm

Zhao got the freshman spot in qualifying, unsurprisingly

It's all starting again!!

Re: 2013 Riviera/ITA All-American Championships

UVA has a record 4 dbls teams competing; USC has one team in each section(total 3). Duke, Ucla also sends 3 teams.

Interesting that Skylar isn't on the doubles list on any UCLA pairings, not even Robin. I guess it's safe to assume she has left the team or will be transferring. Has anyone heard anything? UCLA hasn't updated their roster yet.

Re: 2013 Riviera/ITA All-American Championships

Tsay/Davidson, Mar/Scholl(Capra not playing dbls), Herring/Kowase, Kyle/Cat, Loeb/Carter....brutal. Some of these teams might not get to Q..

Teams to watch out for: Oregon and BYU. Too bad Starr and Manasse didn't make it. I guess they will play Cal Invite.

In fact, Kimbell/King, Antal/Casares didn't make the cut either..

Kendal at last plays the slam dbls MD with Kurey.

With Dolehide, Montez, and Morton...that's 9 and Brady is no walk-on, so who is not getting a free ride

Dolehide is on #2 doubles, so she must be #7, with Montez and Morton remaining...

Montez graduated.

I'd be surprised if Skylar goes back east. She seems pretty happy on the west coast and seemed to get along well with all of the girls on the team. My guess is she just left the team or will transfer to another school in the LA area.

Re: 2013 Riviera/ITA All-American Championships

Can't find ND, NU, and ASU players on the list.

No UCLA, STAN, DUKE, UF, ND, NU, TENN, Miami teams on MD dbls list(19 teams).

There are 4 teams from Texas; BU, TAM, Tech, Rice. California only has 2 teams, USC and CAL.

Re: 2013 Riviera/ITA All-American Championships

There has been some changes from the original list.

Who'll be the Cinderella in this tournament? Especially for freshmen/newcomers, this is a great chance to make an instant impact. Very few managed to advance from PQ to MD, for example;

2009
Danielle Lao; lost in MD 2nd rd to Whoriskey 46, 75, 61
Ariel Ellis; lost to Lao in MD 1st rd
Allie Will as a LL, advanced and lost in the Quarterfinal to Gullickson 76(5), 76(5)

2010
Connie Hsu; 1st rd loss
Sanaa Bhambri; 1st rd loss

2011
Zoe Scandalis; 2nd rd loss to Jana Juricova 62, 57. 76(6)

2012
Ema Burgic; 1st rd loss to Scandalis 1,1
Danielle Collins; 2nd rd lost to Elbaba 16, 64, 64
Julia Elbaba; finalist, lost to Embree 26, 63, 64

Re: 2013 Riviera/ITA All-American Championships

You gotta love this 'ranking committee' and 'selections' process

Know for a fact that Coach entered LB # 1 Ebba Unden.

So the Sac State # 2 has an entry.... ummm

1. Ebba Unden (LBSU) def. Rebeca Delgado (SAC) 7-6 (3), 6-2

2. Klaudia Malenovska (LBSU) def. Jennifer Nguyen (SAC) 6-1, 6-2

SO, IF YOU PLAY # 5-6 FOR UCLA, USC OR UNC YOU GET AN ENTRY... OR IF YOU PLAY # 2 FOR A SO-SO NOR CAL TEAM YOU GET AN ENTRY...

The ITA has the integrity of a Syrian press release

Re: 2013 Riviera/ITA All-American Championships

Pre-qualifying draws are posted: http://www.itatennis.com/Events/ITAN...llAmerican.htm

Random holes in the draws again this year. They really need to do a better job with the alternate lists...

Brady taken out handily by Koelzer of Clemson...didn't expect that.

UNC freshies still cruising.

2016 Titles:
