All this verbal 'spat' is of course in jest, and I HAVE no problem watching, yet some 'fans' make it a bit tiresome to root for that particular team (yes some guys like iPetty does watch Allie to ridicule and disparage in spite, but I'm not THAT obnoxious )

Heard that KK served horribly against that Russian team at Universiad, usual DF-fest and what not. AND made it competitive in score

Quarterfinals
lost to Pavlyuchenkova/Vesnina (RUS) -- 6-4, 6-3

Imagine if KK served at least decently like in last season

It's in Fort Worth. Lauren may be the highest seed there? I checked the acceptance list the other day and saw her name first. Scandalis was also on the list as well as Robin Anderson. Catherine Harrison was in the qualifying draw and if she wins her last match she will get into the main draw.

Herring is also in the final qualifying round in Ft. Worth, as is Dewar from Clemson, who beat former NCAA champ Mallory Cecil in the second round

Herring and Harrison advance to the main draw! Cercone also defeated Ayaka Okuno to advance to the main draw.

Herring plays Elbaba in the first round. Embree is seeded #2.

Vika and Red Foo?

No...I think she thought she did well at a recent tournament and decided to forego her collegiate career.

Catherine Harrison, Embree, and Herring all through to the semis at Fort Worth. Embree defeated Ema Burgic in 3 sets.

Embree and Herring will face each other while Harrison faces a Japanese player.

Miyu Kato is heading to Oklahoma State, so she's a soon-to-be college player

Thanks, did not know that. Cat beat former OK State player Malika Rose in the qualifying rounds.

Embree vs Miyu Kato in the finals.

Miyu defeated Cat in 3. Embree bagel-ed Herring in the first set and Herring led 5-3 in the 2nd before she retired.

Wonder what happened to Herring?

Lauren Embree ‏@lembree888 9h
Never want to see something like that during a match. @LaurenHerring1 glad you are doing okay, and thanks @miaking16 for going with!

mia king ‏@miaking16 9h
@lembree888 thanks for the help😘 still sitting in the ambulance haha

Sounds pretty bad, but Herring apparently later came back to play doubles, so

Re: Summer 2013 - College player in ITF events

She looks ok here and like you said, obviously played the doubles. I wonder if it had something to do with heat illness or something? She has been tweeting today, so I'm glad she's ok at least and had a great week overall!
