How about UCLA vs Miami? UCLA lost to UM in 2009 And even if UCLA wins, UF next
Well, I'm hoping the rankings will switch before the tournament draw comes out. I really don't want to be in UF's half of the draw. I'm okay with playing Miami, especially since we already beat them this year indoors.

All the more desperate for UCLA to win Thursday's match against USC then

Well I guess every team will want to avoid UF in their half section Will be interesting how the remaining matches unfold

So, IF UF remains #2, then being ranked #3,6,7 is bad I guess I like USC being ranked at #5 Well, they can move up to #4 after the win against UCLA?

Re: Ranking 2012-3

I think whoever wins the USC/UCLA match will move up a spot or two, right? Although moving down to 8/9 wouldn't be a bad thing as long as UNC stays #1 and Cal/Stanford doesn't move to 8/9 too. This year is anyone's championship!

Yeah, maybe USC/UCLA match isn't that important then, maybe that's why this match was scheduled ahead of CAL/STAN

Well, I guess they can win the PAC 12 dbls championship and get that #1 ranking back?
You say you checked in detail the situation with the number one doubles ranking going to Georgia over USC. What you failed to mention is that if you went back a little further you would have seen that Garcia and Fuller beat Anderson/Van Nguyen 8-4 at National Indoors. Santamaria and Christian were trailing the UCLA duo 4-7 when that match was stopped. So it looks like they, Garcia and Fuller deserved to be #1 to me. Funny how you made no mention of that match!

Re: Ranking 2012-3

fantic is right though when he mentioned that KK/Sabs haven't played together in a few matches. The last time they played together was on 3/30 against Stanford. I wonder if that explains the jump over them by Fuller/Garcia.

Eh? USC were WINNING 7-4 Please check both teams' website

The reason why UGA team got #1 is because THEY PLAYED MORE. Just like STAN is now lowly ranked because they didn't play Indoors.

KK/Sabs hasn't played in Apr. so far
I guess UGA's diligence paid off.

But, does that ranking reflect their ability? Highly doubt it. KK/Sabs won 3 slams. What did the UGA team achieve so far?

And, check the most recent record of both teams. UGA team beat UA team 8-6 or something.
USC team beat STAN 8-1, a ROUT. AND Gibbsy is a 2-time dbls slam champion.

Now, which record seems more impressive to you? Judge for yourself.

I know you know your stuff, and I definately respect your opinion. You make this board worth coming too. But I have to disagree with you here. You say "UGA beat UA team 8-6 or something." But that Alabama team is 6 in the nation, having the match before defeated Tennessee who is 5 in the nation and lost 9-8 to UCLA at National Indoors. They are not easy pickin's.

I know UA duo is a very good team. That's why I ALSO listed USC's win against STAN, which is the 7th ranked team in the nation. Moreover Gibbsy is a two time college slam dbls champion with Mal, they won WAATC and NCAA last season (Indoors was won by USC).

And USC beat STAN 8-1.

As I said earlier, UGA diligently played throughout the season, played Apr. matches too while USC skipped those. So, they got to #1.

But as I said, it's like 'How Green was my Valley' winning the Oscar instead of 'Citizen Kane'

The USC team is 3 time slam winner. And they are UNdefeated this season.

No question about who is the #1 team in the nation. I sincerely hope that USC meets UGA at the team or dbls championship to see how it plays out

Oh and I do hope KK/Sabs meets the MICH duo too, since they lost to them at NCAA dbls last year It's time for a revenge.

I'd be interested to see that too, because I also watched KK/Sabs get crushed by Anderson and Morton last year in the team semis. If they meet a team that is powerful and ON, they are vulnerable, but they've been playing great all year, so we'll see. Should be exciting!!

You guys, I'm getting so excited for NCAA's

I thought I should learn America's notable cultural achievements; and one of the foremost of it is Hollywood movies!

So, watched tons of the Golden Age Hollywood films(and BOUGHT too many ), then some biographies of stars, some books of the history of Hollywood..

Had fun!

That is true, that's why they struggled against the UCLA team last season.

But I think they got better this season, hence winning 2 slams in a row

They met the Anderson team twice this season;

at WAATC, 2,2 shutout win against Anderson/Morton

at dual, against ANDERSON/VAN NGUEN led 7-4
