Kristie Ahn is in a plaster cast and crutches. Don't know how long she will be in it or how long she's been in it. Saw pictures, didn't hear anything.

Simmons injured in doubles so they defaulted that match and also defaulted one of the singles. Also, Cako took an injury timeout before the match was called. Robin may have gotten the clinching point.

Brycki/Smith almost beat KK/Sabs in dbls(suspended).

Brycki def. Scandalous in 2, 1st set a tiebreaker (7-5?) and 2nd 64 or something, Zoe lead 4-1 in the 2nd. But Michelle played VERY well today.

Sahagun also was ultra sharp, bagelling KK before succumbing to KK's black magic :lol: lost to KK in a 3rd set super tiebreaker 5-10

So USC recruited thus far;

Yates
Katz
Westby

USC seems to be 'diversifying' lol, recruiting from Midwest regions.

Not exactly a stellar recruit, is it? Top 20 bluechips..

I wonder who is USC's core lineup in the future? Is it the current freshmen? Scandalis? Will she go the Finky way, a very solid #2 player, or will she develop into Sanchez, a potential slam champion?

Just checked TRN and the highest ranking in junior years;

Nelson; 4
Fink; 1
Sanchez; 4

Damn, are all those top players, Austin, Hibi, Makarova, Porter, Doyle, King, Chirico, etc. going to 'escape' the 'grasp' of USC? :sobbing: Hope USC can recruit one more from that class..

" USC is 18-59 all-time against Stanford after falling 6-1 to the Cardinal last season in Pac-10 play at Marks Stadium. USC's last win over Stanford was a 5-2 victory in 2009 in Los Angeles. It was USC's first win over Stanford in 23 years, snapping a 50-match losing streak to the Cardinal."

Well that USC win over Stanford no longer counts :oh: because it was vacated after USC was found guilty with lack of institutional control.

USC still has a losing streak against Stanford for over 25 years and 55-matches. :oh:

USC describes the Ojai tournament this way. There was some discussion that the tournament format would be changed as part of the PAC-12 move.

PAC-12 PLAN
There will be a 32-player women's singles draw and a 16-team women's doubles draw at the annual Pac-12 Tennis Tournament in Ojai, Calif. The draw will be determined no later than 6 p.m. on Tuesday, April 24. Matches begin on Thursday (April 26) morning. All Pac-12 Tournament women's matches except the finals will be played at the Ojai Valley Athletic Club. The Pac-12 singles championship match is scheduled for 10:30 a.m. in Libbey Park, and the doubles final will follow. The Ojai Valley Tennis Tournament is a 112-year tradition, dating back to 1887. The four-day tennis extravaganza includes competition for juniors, non-Pac-12 collegiate players, and an open event. The Pac-12 has had a presence at the event since 1954.
