Duke vs. Miami is tomorrow. I'm definitely nervous. Miami's been on fire lately. Luckily for Duke, Anna Bartenstein has been key to Miami's wins at number one, and I have faith in Capra to take that point.

Re: Matches of the Week - 2012

Well, you called the Utah collapse. What is going on there? Some boosters who were in LV in February said that the Utah girls were out of control all weekend with line calls and mouthy play plus one set of crazy parents. Maybe the inmates are running the asylum?

Speaking of what is going on...

#35 Pepperdine 7, # 71 U. San Diego 0 .... and it wasn't that close. USD returned a veteran team with many ranked girls... yet they are no longer playing well and this performance was awful.

Re: Matches of the Week - 2012

The key match for San Diego is not Pepperdine but beating St. Mary's which I think they are capable of. San Diego will likely have 2 shots against St. Mary's. One in the regular season and the other in the WCC Tournament. Would be nice if San Diego wins one or best case for UCI wins both.

If Utah gets an NCAA at-large because an injured Arizona State team gift wraps a win for them that would piss me off.

Here's a BIG mystery. How the heck did UNLV and Fresno State get a win by default against rising #48 VCU without even playing them?

3/15 UNLV def. VCU 6-0

3/17 Fresno St. def. VCU 7-0

Can anyone explain these 2 VCU losses?

They don't even show up on the VCU schedule.

Re: Matches of the Week - 2012

Well thank goodness. Duke beat Miami 4-0 and Florida State 4-2. I have NO idea why we struggle so much against State. They are obviously a good team, but I would have thought we'd have struggled more against Miami.

Re: Matches of the Week - 2012

Duke vs. UNSuck on Wednesday. Definitely nervous. UNC will probably take the doubles point. I think Duke is definitely favored at 1 and against Featherston (2 or 3). I don't know what else to expect...

Me thinks you are gonna be pissed off... Utah stops the bleeding and picks up another top 50 win

RE: VCU... since the VCU release in early March said they were headed to UNLV... my complete GUESS.... total speculation... one has to wonder if there was a major disciplinary issue while they were in Vegas and they just suspended the girls? Since there is no comment from any of the three teams than I rule out illness so a disciplinary thing makes sense.

What sucks is that Fresno gets a bs win without even playing that jacks up their ranking.

If VCU wants to forfeit 2 matches for disciplinary reasons that's fine. But to cover it up and not show those 2 losses on their schedule is SHADY!

And as someone who looks over the latest results and posts all the major upsets I can tell you those 2 forfeits were posted late, in April weeks after they happened so nobody would notice. SHADY! When VCU upset #37 South Florida luckily I looked at VCU's record and that's when I noticed the forfeits.

4/8/12

UNC Greensboro upset #61 College of Charleston 5-2

Georgia St. upsets #37 South Florida 4-3

- This win was counted twice on the ITA website so Georgia St. may go from unranked to top 50 in the next poll.

North Carolina St. upsets #73 Maryland 4-3
