thank god the electronic scoreboard was working yesterday. On Saturday it was blank so I had really a hard time identifying the players

Ooo them's fightin' words. In all seriousness though, it seems that Capra/Goldfeld formed the more impressive team, but that's just judging by score lines.

Kahan has kind of a tough draw. It will be a test to see if she's ready to play at number 2. Hanna Mar already beat Urbina (I think), so I hope Rachel can do the same.

Romney/Ryan 2012

Re: 2011 All-American Championships

I don't think Turvy is a walkover She'll fight tooth and nail!

Anyway so far Duke Doubles are impressive, sent 2 teams from PQ, and along with Kahan/Gorny, that's an impressive 3 teams competing in Q.

Re: 2011 All-American Championships

Started uploading videos that I took at UCLA, but now I can't upload it, something's wrong

Riviera has no baseline view so can't record anyway, at best I could record Wolf's leg-through dribbling ritual Maybe one or two courts at the Upper courts provide a semblance of baseline view..

Re: 2011 All-American Championships

since I can't upload now I'm just reviewing the videos and Kate Fuller's volleys are already top level now..impressive, she even does it underhand sometimes How the hell did Zoe win
(Zoe also tried to come up to the net but there's a certain gap between them, on net approach and volley techniques)
Kate's serve return was quite aggressive too and effective at times..

Re: 2011 All-American Championships

so I'm always on the lookout for new players (or the ones I haven't or rarely seen), so the following players will have the 'honour' of being my particular attention tomorrow

Tulane doubles
Brown doubles
Nebraska doubles
Texas Tech doubles
Illinois doubles (Lambropoulos defeated Brooke Austin at the College Summer Circuit)
W&M doubles (haven't watched Cepeda)
OK State doubles
Princeton doubles (haven't watched Graff..wait..I suddenly remembered that I wrote a good review of Graff at the Hardcourt(SD) a MUST see then )
UTAH doubles
LSU doubles (haven't seen Burns)

damn too many doubles, and not enough time (only 8 games winning format )

Rohde-Moe
Craig
Morozova
Admin Error
White (saw a bit but not enough)
Stojic
Wolf(I've seen her but I miss her leg-through 'dribble' )
Epstein
Collins
Vasenina(saw her last year, a crafty player)
Nunic
Lilley
O'Neill(saw those two GT players a bit, but not enough)

Naturally PAC 12 especially players of So Cal teams are on the bottom of my viewing list since I can watch them at SD (SW Regional).
For national tournaments, naturally my focus is on the 'visitors'

Re: 2011 All-American Championships

uploading is working again.

soon-to-be uploaded Capra/Goldfeld vs Mira/Wu video has a 'guest' appearance by Gorny and Kahan
