Well, at least the ACC was up for grabs last year.
HUGE snag for Duke that puts them right back at the top of national contenders.
I was convinced Chalena was going to make the bad decision her sister did and turn pro. Nice work by Coach Ashworth.

This is total conjecture but where would you put Cal in the race for the NCAA championships next year if we snagged Starr.
Denise did chat amiably with Maegan at ISC
I'd think right up there, could be one of the front runners, even. I'm not sure USC could beat CAL if Denise also joins CAL. Denise is not only a strong hitter but quite good in dbls, too. ISC dbls finalist with Hibi, lost to Loeb/Manasse.
Maybe it's a done deal, otherwise why a CAL insider like Tennisace even mention or moot it in the first place
Seriously, though, this season, Cal could never put it all together. With various injuries, they had problems keeping a consistent line-up on the court, especially in doubles. If Starr comes, not only will she help immediately, she would continue Cal's momentum with recruiting domestic players--Chi, Manasse, and Starr--to add to their Euro pipeline.
Total speculation at this point. There are not a whole lot of top schools she can choose from at this point. From the outside it looks like Florida and Cal still have openings. I just don't think Starr is ready for the pro's.
Florida is more in need but it would definitely be nice if she went to Cal.
If Starr is not turning pro, then I wonder why we haven't heard about where she's going. Is it unusual not to be signed somewhere by now? School starts in a matter of weeks... Wonder what the hold-up could be?
