I'm going to guess one of these players may transfer to Baylor as a junior in 2012-13. Baylor's current #1 singles Sona Novakova was a junior transfer from Armstrong Atlantic State.

^ I've guessed that too.

Plus, Hardebeck is 'speculated' (actually it's quite well known ) to go to Stanford if her pro attempt doesn't pan out

so let's all pray that she does well...

Quite smart of Baylor to make Armstrong their junior varsity team.

A follow up to my post below, based on a comment in an article I'll quote in my next post.

(Inicdentally, the significantly classier Malagasy player, Zarah Razafimahatratra, mentioned US college tennis as an option in an interview at, I think, the French Open, where she was competing in the juniors.)

For what it's worth, the US team at the Universiade is Krista Damico, and Courtney Collins (Memphis); they were knocked out of the doubles draw by the Mexican team of Urbina and Pulido today. Natasha Marks is representing us, but only selected for doubles. http://match.sz2011.org/Scheduledetail2/TEENG.htm

Tennis : Niriantsa Rasolomalala aux USA !
Niriantsa Rasolomalala pour la nommer, vient de décrocher une bourse d’études à l’université de Georgia en Atlanta.

Is there a campus of the University of Georgia in Atlanta? I'm afraid they may have meant Georgia State, and Rasolomalala isn't on the published 2012-13 roster.

Here's the Razafimahatratra story that mentions Rasolomalala in passing: http://www.lexpressmada.com/tennis-m...u-bercail.html

As best I can understand with my long forgotten schoolboy French, it says she's just completed her "matrix" (which I take to be the South African equivalent of US high school graduation). She's returning home to Madagascar. She's preparing her application for US college, but is also considering trying the pros, but currently has no funding to do that.
