2009 ITA Kick-Off Weekend (Indoor Qualifying)

The draw for the 2010 ITA Team Indoor Championships is now up: http://www.itatennis.com/Events/Kick...t__June_4_.htm

Most interesting is Stanford's decision to not participate. I know Coach Forood has openly expressed her dislike for all the fall tournaments and the lack of emphasis on academics as a result from the constant traveling due to college tennis being a virtually year round sport.

This event though occurs at the beginning of the tennis season (at the end of January). Stanford would have hosted had they chosen to participate. I know that Forood has voiced her stance on boycotting events and this may well be her statement. I think this may be the first time that Stanford has not appeared at the Indoors (they would have qualified easily).

It looks like the following teams also passed:

42. San Diego St.
48. Indiana
51. Long Beach St.
56. Nebraska
57. UC Irvine

Does Duke get the "bye" against host unranked Wisconsin in the Round of 16?
