OK guys no need for this; I know some people haven't been the best managers and had trouble running events, but let's hope practice makes perfect. As for discouraging less capable managers from signing up, we can consider some penalty, like; if a manager doesn't update scores after at least half of the rounds played during a tournament, he/she cannot commit to run another tournament for the next six months. Or something along those lines. Of course, anyone can ask for help running a tournament in necessary and no one should hesitate from it - helping eachother has always been normal in tipping. But yes, managers should - if possible - tell in advance that they won't be able to run an event or find an assistant.

Stanford and Sofia please :D

Can I ask a couple of question? Why does the calender looks different from 2011? Or is it just me? And why are some tournaments missing? Like Pattaya City. And if I commit to the tournaments can I withdraw last minute from it if I'm busy?

Can I ask a couple of question?

Yes;)

Why does the calender looks different from 2011?

Because WTA makes it a little different every year, so our tipping calendar is different too. We always play the biggest event of the week, so if two tournaments are played on the same week, the one of the higher category will be played. If they are of equal category, the moderator chooses which one will be played that week.

Or is it just me?

No, you are fine:)

And why are some tournaments missing?

See above.

Like Pattaya City.

Yup, it's explained there...:D

And if I commit to the tournaments can I withdraw last minute from it if I'm busy?

Yes, but it would be nice if you could notify us at least a few days before the event so that we can find another manager for that tournament.

Yes, during that week it's one of those two events. Whoever signs up first to run an event that week, gets to choose which event we'll play. If you are not sure which to choose you can wait until the player lists are out for example, but if you are, you can choose right now. Anyway, I'll sign you up for that week and you just confirm a few weeks before the event which event it's going to be.

Well, it would be ideal if the tournament manager would do it, but sometimes they can't update the rankings on time or something happens that they lose track of points, so other people jump in to help. So if you are (one day) running a tournament and need help, don't hesitate to ask your players for some help:)

I'll post all of the spreasheets I created when I have the time...

+ Australian Open please ;)

#29 ·
Why did you put an asterisk after my (and other) name(s)?

Just wondering.

#30 ·
Can i have Paris please :)

#42 ·
Can I book Miami as well? If I am able to be a good manager for Dubai and KL but if I'm not then I will withdraw. :awww:

#43 ·
Sure:) Of course, any manager can withdraw from an obligation to run the event if he/she changes his/her mind for whatever reason. Just make sure it's at least a week before the event so that we can find your replacement.
Miami would certainly be much more difficult to run than either KL or Dubai, cause it's one of the largest draws in the whole season (only slams are bigger).

#45 ·
Stuttgart and London Olympics please :)
